I can't believe that this is the only place around that serves late night meals to drunks. No bueno Macomb County. Huge thumbs up to our waitress though. She handled herself around drunks and she was actually very pleasant. She had a lot of patience and filled up our waters like crazy because we were drunk and dying of thirst. Typical Denny's: good drunk breakfast food with the typical late night drunk crowd: girls with smeared makeup, guys on their phones trying to hook up, people trying to stay awake, short skirts.. just a hot mess of people. It's a joy to people watch. Live in the area and want a quick hot meal before hitting the sheets after a long night of drinking.. I would recommend Dennys.

So, we chose Denny's for dinner one night and pretty much regretted that decision immediately after we made it to our table,(which was the only table left in two small open sections). I love food! Love it! And I know that sometimes waiters and waitresses rely on tips and work with people who treat them like garbage - I'm not one of those people. I tip well when I can and I don't complain unless food is obviously cold or completely incorrect. Please know this. First, let me say, it was freezing inside. I can handle the cold as well as any 'Michigander', but I was covered in goosebumps. Next, I ordered mozzarella sticks with marinara. Our waiter jotted down the order, gave us that usual smile and nod and left. A few minutes later he came back with our drinks and apologized because they don't serve mozzarella sticks anymore! But - he said...damn. By now another group of four sat down nearby. They received their appetizers before our food. Again, the waiter returns and apologizes because he cancelled the mozzarella sticks and the cook thought he meant the entire order! Obviously our food came later, but it was the wrong meal. I asked for a specialty sandwich and was given the wrong one. (Both our meals were carried out by the manager too!) When I mentioned the wrong order, the waiter offered to buy us drinks on him or if we wanted to take the sand which off the order. I chose to remove the item. Later, they told us the price for what I ordered would be more expensive, by .20! So, instead of removing the food - she just charged me for the regular Sandwich! They were obviously not working hard at maintaining an establishment. Half the wait-staff were younger girls who messed up another lady's dinner who sat right next to us! At that point, we just took our bill and left a small tip. We will not be returning.

This location seems a little dirty and ended up making me sick. I have eaten here before but this time it did not fair well with me. It was a late night trip but I have never gotten sick on it before. I will say the staff was nice and helpful. Other people I know enjoy it but I will not be going back.

Always good food, good price. I was craving their pancakes today and barely had a few bites because I was full after the eggs and hash browns. My waitress was so nice, she always is. I don't go regularly, but there are still some of the same workers that have been there since atleast Dec '05.

This place is one of the last Denny's around the area. This isnt a dive or anything like it used to be. I love the new menu and their classic dishes are just as good as it was back in the day. The best part is that this place is finally smoke free. Its still good to go to after the bar or even during the day.

This is the weirdest service I've ever received at a diner ever. The front desk host is having everyone write their own names down on the wait list.. I wrote Katie and he couldn't decide if it said Katherine or Kathleen, but I understand sometimes people have a hard time with names so whatever. He asked a couple of waitresses if they would like to seat our party of five, and two of them shook their heads no. Finally he just had us sit. A waitress finally came over and brought us menus/silverware for 4 people, we asked for another set figuring she just miscounted, she looked around our table and said I only count 4. -_-

I love this one great friendly service great food clean atmosphere what more can you ask for in a Denny's. Chocolate shake and nachos compliments my awesome lunch here at Denny's Lakeside Mall Sterling Heights MI. For company I have my brother who orders seafood sandwich and a diet coke. So I get fatter and my brother has lunch before he pushes off to work.

We went here Christmas Day 2014. The food was great, and Jeremy, our waiter was the best waiter that we've had in a long time!

Wow, the dirtiest, oldest, smelliest. One waiter only watched tv, turned the channels to what he wanted.. The wait station needs to be inspected by the health department... We didn't get sick from the food but believe me i was scared... The place needs to be torn down.. I know denny's is usually good for what you get, but this one is the worst. It was so bad i had to sign up for the yelp app..

Very depressing. I don't mean that in a sense of hyperbole either, I actually mean this place is depressing. Came for Sunday breakfast, and it was full of people, and it was whisper quiet. A whole mass of people not talking, just quietly eating. There was an aura that each table was a family that is reeling from the recent kidnapping of one of their kin, almost as if they just spent the last 72 hours at the precinct answering questions and are at Denny's out of necessity because they haven't eaten in forever. I almost expected to walk in and find myself in a world without color. This place is full of all those angry, downtrodden, miserable people you see shuffling around at Lakeside Mall. The staff was sub par at best. Walking in, there was a long line to both pay and be seated. Finally some customers just sat themselves rather than wait any longer. They all had that "I went to an alternative high school" manner to them. Awkward and unpleasant. Our table had egg caked on it, that unmistakable highlighter yellow encrustation. The woman next to us got her meal, and tried to flag down her waitress who ran away from her in a hurry. She had no silverware. She called politely for her waitress several times before actually standing up, walking over to the waitress station and informing another that she was not given silverware. The woman told her to go sit back down and she would grab her waitress for her, when she could've just handed her some silverware on the spot. My general review of this restaurant is if I was newly divorced and wanting to prolong my bitter sorrow, I would eat here. The food was normal.

Well, living on my boyfriend and I's own for the first time this Christmas left us wondering what we would have for Christmas dinner. Since neither of us are great cooks we decided to go with the only place I knew of that was open, Denny's. We have never been there and looked up the menu online. After about 10 minutes of scrolling on the mobile website with no prices, we finally decided what we wanted. First 3 times back after back it's busy, I wait 5 minutes, still busy. I decide to double check there still open, am assured try again, still busy. So I start to think.. Okay maybe there really busy so they took the phones off the hook to catch up. Finally 5 more minutes later I hear a ring, and an answer from a woman on the other end "Denny's are you ordering carry out?" I respond "Yes." "Well orders are going to be over an hour." I say aloud "Alright that's fine." She puts me on hold. A pleasant young man answers, takes my order and then tells me it's going to be ready in 30 minutes. I ask "The woman before me said it would be over an hour, honestly how long until you think I should arrive?" He is no help and says it has been a hit or miss from a half to a full hour. So, judging from the phone lines and the first woman I decide to leave my house in 35 minutes, it takes me 5 minutes to get there and from placing my order to the time I get there it has been 40 minutes. When I walk in there are maybe 5 tables full, with one bag behind the woman when I go to pick up my order. Excited, it's waiting for me and is under $20. When I get home we open it up and the order is right, looks really good, however is stone cold. I should have left earlier... But it was a tough decision to make considering all that had happened prior. I would return however next time I'm going to eat in.
